Inzwischen versucht mein PC automatisch auf die aktuellste Java Version aktualisieren. Dies scheitert aber, wenn man als normaler Benutzer eingeloggt ist, da beim Download ein Fehler passiert, selbst wenn der Update als Systemadministrator durchführt wird.

Java SE 7 Update 17 veröffentlicht

Am Dienstag 5 März 2013 hat Oracle wieder einen neuen Java Sicherheits-Patch Java SE 7u17 zum Download bereitgestellt.

Wenn Sie abwechselnd  32-Bit- und  64-Bit-Browser verwenden, müssen Sie 32-Bit- und 64-Bit-Java installieren, um über das Java Plug-in für beide Browser zu verfügen.

Normalerweise ist Firefox als 32 Bit-version installiert und braucht deshalb das 32-Bit-Java!
