Scientific Speed Dating ‚engineering loves medicine‘
Every good relationship starts with a first chat. At FAU we hold a passion for Medicine and Technology, as well as for interdisciplinarity. So why not bring experts and students from both fields to the same table and exchange ideas over a cold drink? Welcome to our Scientific Speed Dating Project!
Scientific Speed Dating “Engineering loves Medicine” is a joint project of the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Medicine and the Central Institute of Healthcare Engineering (ZiMT). FAU researchers (professors, postdocs or PhD students) and students from the field of medicine (including molecular medicine and speech therapy) and engineering (all subject areas) are welcome to take part. Registration is open until September 30th 2016.
Within this concept, each table will bring together a group of students and researchers with mixed scientific backgrounds to form interdisciplinary teams. These groups decide on a project they will tackle for the rest of the semester in the Innovation Research Lab at the Central Institute for Healthcare Engineering (ZiMT) and the FAU FabLab.
At the end of the semester all results (posters and/or prototypes) will be shown to an audience of local businesses and industries at a final exhibition.
