Summer School in Survey Methodology in Cologne: Registration now Open!

The program of the 6th GESIS Summer School in Survey Methodology is online and registration is open. The Summer School 2017 will be held from August 3 to 25 at GESIS Cologne, Germany. 15 courses are scheduled, among them 4 short courses and 11 one-week courses.
New to the program are courses on “Preparing data for re-use”, “Structural Equation Modeling for Longitudinal and Panel Data”, and “Meta-Analysis“ Here is an overview of the courses on offer this year:
 
Short courses (August 03-04):

§  Design and Implementation of Longitudinal Surveys (Al Baghal/Cernat)
Week 2 (August 14-18):
§  Questionnaire Design (Fuchs/Kunz/Metzler)
§  Assessing Measurement Quality (Menold/Meitinger)
Week 3 (August 21-25):
§  Mathematical Tools for Social Scientists (Elff)
§  Meta-Analysis (Bošnjak/Weiß/Wengrzik)
§  Sampling, Weighting, and Estimation (Eckman)
§  Item Nonresponse and Multiple Imputation (Meinfelder/Rässler)
Thanks to the cooperation with the Center for Doctoral Studies in Social Sciences, University of Mannheim, participants can obtain up to 4 ECTS points per one-week course. In addition to courses, there have been prepared a number of plenary and social events including weekly welcome receptions, cultural and social excursions as well as evening talks by experts in Survey Methodology.
 
There is no registration deadline, but in order to secure a place in the courses of your choice and to book affordable accommodation, it is recommend that you register as soon as possible.
 
Scholarships by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and CDSS as well as the European Survey Research Association (ESRA) are available to Summer School participants.
