Dear Friends of Bayer Foundation,
only some days left to submit your nomination for the
2026 Early Excellence in Science Awards and Otto Bayer.
We invite you to use this unique opportunity to recognize outstanding early-career researchers and established scientists for their significant research achievements and promote the Science Awards within your networks.
We are especially looking for candidates for the Early Excellence in Science Awards in the categories of Biology, Chemistry, Medical Science, and Plant Science.
The candidates should be working at any academic institution worldwide and have received their PhD in the last seven years.
The Otto Bayer Award honors distinguished scientists working in German-speaking countries who have made pioneering contributions to research in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology.
You may nominate one candidate per category. For each nomination, we kindly ask you to complete the online form. Please note that self-nominations will not be considered.
Along with the candidate’s demographic data, email, and institution, please provide the following information:
- Your opinion on why the nominee qualifies, including their major scientific achievements (max. 5000 characters)
- A list of five to ten publications by the nominee
- The nominee’s CV
