Impossible Founders Summer School 2026 in Hamburg, Germany
This September, the iF Summer School 2026 kicks off in Hamburg – a six-day program for PhD students and early-career researchers in physics, medicine, MedTech, Business and Deep Tech. It centres on one question: how can research turn into real-world applications and venture ideas?
The program is run by Impossible Founders, a Hamburg-based deep-tech startup factory that helps researchers turn breakthrough science into ventures by connecting researchers, industry and investors. Initiated by the Michael Otto Foundation and the Joachim Herz Foundation, it is also one of the startup factories selected in the German federal EXIST competition. The Summer School is being delivered together with the University of Hamburg, UKE, DESY, Stellenbosch University and the University of Groningen. I support the institution as a Professor in Residence.
