Holberg Prize 2019 (Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research)

The Holberg Prize is an international research prize awarded annually to a scholar who has made
outstanding contributions to research in the arts and humanities, social sciences, law or theology.
The Prize is worth NOK 6 million {approx. EUR 620,000 / USO 700,000). The Holberg Prize was
established by the Norwegian Government in 2003.

How to nominate?
Academics holding positions at universities or other research institutions are entitled to nominate
candidates for the Holberg Prize.
