Zoom wird Zoom X / Switch to Zoom X
Nach Auslaufen unseres aktuellen Vertrags mit Zoom werden wir auf den Rahmenvertrag des DFN mit der Deutschen Telekom umstellen. Unser Zoom heißt zukünftig Zoom X und wird von der Deutschen Telekom in Deutschland gehostet.
Um möglichst alle Daten von Zoom zu Zoom X zu migrieren, wird Zoom am (NEU!) 01.04.2023 ab 02:00 Uhr für ca. 8 Stunden nicht erreichbar sein. In dieser Zeit
- … können Sie sich nicht bei Zoom einloggen
- … werden Sie auf dem Client ausgeloggt
- … können Sie keine Meetings ansetzen
- … werden laufende Meetings beendet
- … können keine neuen Meetings gestartet werden
- … werden alle gespeicherten virtuellen Hintergründe gelöscht. Ihren Corporate Design konformen Hintergrund können Sie unter https://www.intern.fau.de/kommunikation-marketing-und-corporate-identity/vorlagen/zoom-hintergruende/ neu herunterladen.
Nach der Migration haben Sie wieder Zugriff auf:
- Chathistorie
- Zoom Profile
- Individuelle Usereinstellungen
- Meeting Lizenzen.
Die Domäne fau.zoom.us wird weiterhin verwendet werden. Auch zukünftig findet das Login über SSO statt.
Ihre Meetings und Webinare inkl. Links für die Zeit nach der Umstellung bleiben erhalten. Die Telefonnummern zur Teilnahme an Meetings ändern sich jedoch. Wenn Sie eine Teilnahme per Telefon geplant haben, müssen Sie das Meeting erneut ansetzen, damit die Telefonnummern aktualisiert werden.
Wir hoffen, dass die Umstellung möglichst reibungslos funktioniert, bitten aber trotzdem um Nachsicht, sollten sich in den ersten Stunden im neuen System noch Probleme ergeben.

After our current contract with Zoom expires, we will switch over to the framework contract between DFN and Deutsche Telekom. In future, our Zoom will be called Zoom X and will be hosted by Deutsche Telekom in Germany.
In order to allow us to migrate all our data from Zoom to Zoom X, Zoom will be unavailable for approximately 8 hours on (NEW!) April 1st, 2023, starting from 02:00 a.m. During this time
- … you cannot log in to Zoom
- … you will be logged out of the client
- … you will be unable to plan meetings
- … any ongoing meetings will be terminated
- … you will be unable to start any new meetings
- … all virtual backgrounds you have saved will be deleted. Backgrounds that conform with our corporate design are available to download again at https://www.intern.fau.de/kommunikation-marketing-und-corporate-identity/vorlagen/zoom-hintergruende/.
After the migration, you will once more be able to access your:
- chat history
- Zoom profiles
- individual user settings
- meeting licenses.
We will continue to use the domain fau.zoom.us, and use SSO to log in.
Your meetings and webinars and the links for them will remain unaffected for the period after the migration. However, the phone numbers for participating in meetings will change. If you have planned to call in to a meeting by phone, you must set up the meeting again to ensure that the telephone numbers are brought up to date.
We hope that the changeover will go ahead as smoothly as possible, but we would ask you to bear with us if there are any problems with the new system at the beginning.
