The total outgoing traffic of ftp.fau.de increased from 8.51 PiB in 2023 to 10.06 PiB in 2024, an increase of only 18%.

The percentage of IPv6 traffic increased slightly to 29% (2.88 PiB), after 26% in 2023, 26% in 2022, 27% in 2021, 27% in 2020, 25% in 2019, 22% in 2018, 22% in 2017, 14% in 2016 and 11% in 2015.
There are quite a few new entries in the top 10 list – 5 to be exact:
- almalinux
- epel
- cdn.media.ccc.de
- macports
- ubuntu
They replaced
- centos (which we stopped mirroring in the middle of the year, and which dropped to rank 21 in its final year)
- lineageos (now rank 11, despite traffic increasing from 217 to 246 TB)
- qtproject (now rank 12)
- gimp (now rank 15)
- eclipse (now rank 16)
