die nächste Brown Bag Break-Veranstaltung findet am 7. Juli 2016 (17-19 Uhr) an der Medizinischen Fakultät (Translational Research Centre (TRC), Schwabachanlage 12, 91054 Erlangen) statt. Im Fokus haben wir dieses Mal das Thema „Internationales Netzwerken und Karriereentwicklung in der Wissenschaft“. Auf dem Programm steht ein kurzer Vortrag zu diesem Thema; im Anschluss lädt eine Podiumsdiskussion mit Wissenschaftlern aus Edinburgh, Yale und der FAU zum gemeinsamen Austausch ein. Zusätzlich können sich alle Teilnehmenden zu Möglichkeiten der Forschungsförderung und Karriereentwicklung informieren. Und natürlich gibt es wieder die Möglichkeit, beim lockeren Netzwerken international und interdisziplinär Kontakte zu knüpfen. Bonus: die Veranstaltung ist angelehnt an die Summer School des internationalen TRENAL-Netzwerks.

We are happy to announce the next Brown Bag Break on July 7TH 2016, 5 to 7 p.m. at the Faculty of Medicine (Translational Research Centre (TRC), Schwabachanlage 12, 91054 Erlangen). First-hand information on „International networking and career development in science“ will be followed by a panel discussion with researchers from Edinburgh, Yale and FAU. Afterwards you have the possibility to get and exchange information on different topics such as research funding and career development. There will also be plenty of time for an exchange with other young researchers from different countries and fields of research. Special: The event will be associated with the summer school of the international network TRENAL.

Registration: Please send an e-mail including your first name, last name, highest qualification, home country and FAU institute/chair to zuv-bbb@fau.de. And of course feel free to invite everybody else who might be interested.
