Critical Mass at FAU on 7th of July – Knowledge in Motion – Cycling Tour

On 7th of July we invite you to cycle between various sites of our FAU to demonstrate the worrying situation of buildings at all our faculties. Our aim is to raise public awareness about the worrisome situation. If you are motivated for a long cycling tour, you can meet in Nuremberg, Campus Regensburger Straße at 3:30 pm, departure by bike at 4:15 pm. Alternatively, you can join at WiSo (Lange Gasse 20) at 4:30 pm or 6:00 pm at TechFak near Tentoria. There will be a break with drinks, snacks and live music. At 7:00 pm we will continue to PhilFak (Amphitheater), where we will find a wall for graffiti. Our last destination will be the Schloss Erlangen.

Secondly, if you want to contribute directly, there is a bank account for donations to install electrical power plugs in our central library and update our computer rooms. Brown Bag Break – Wed, 19 June 2019, 5 p.m.

It’s time for another Brown Bag Break at FAU! A great opportunity for networking beyond your current research project, to get in touch with young researchers from other disciplines and to share ideas.

This time it is once more up to the Faculty of Sciences to host the event. The key part will be a presentation by Dr. Luca Caracciolo (Chair for Geology) about his career in Science and Industry: From Academia to Industry and back”.
