I attended the Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg studying economy and computer science. My main focus were ‘Practical computer science’ (Prof. Andreas Henrich), ‘Logistics and logistical and computer science’ (Prof. Günther Diruf) and ‘Development of Information Systems’ (Prof. Elmar Sinz).
After my studies I was employed by RRZE in order to implement the Bologna process at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg in a three person team. There I was primarily responsible for the technical implementation of the examination regulations into the existing software system. Approximately one year later, I was supervisor for the Admissions.
In June 2007 I became deputy project manager of Campus IT. This project deals with the technical implementation of the Bologna process and the introduction of web-based self-service functions for students, teachers and administrative staff of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. The result of the team work is the service plattform “mein campus“. Within the project my main task ist process modelling with UML and BPMN and the communication with the specialized users of the central university administration (Examination Board, Student Office, Admissions). Therefore I could profit on knowledge in the field of process management which I could gain during my studies in Bamberg.

Vorstellung Andrea Grimm
Ich habe an der Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg Wirtschaftsinformatik studiert. Meine Schwerpunkten im Hauptstudium waren:
Praktische Informatik (Prof. Andreas Henrich), Logistik und logistische Informatik (Prof. Günther Diruf) sowie Entwicklung betrieblicher Informationssysteme (Prof. Elmar Sinz).
Nach meinem Studium wurde ich vom RRZE angestellt, um in einem dreiköpfigen Team die Umsetzung des Bologna-Prozesses an der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg durchzuführen. Dort war ich primär für die technische Umsetzung der Prüfungsordnungen in das bereits vorhandene Prüfungsverwaltungssystem zuständig. Nach ca. einem Jahr habe ich zusätzlich die EDV-Betreuung der Zulassungsstelle übernommen.
Im Juni 2007 wurde ich stellvertretende Projektleiterin von Campus IT. Dieses Projekt beschäftigt sich mit der technischen Umsetzung des Bologna-Prozesses sowie der Einführung webbasierter Selbstbedienungsfunktionen für Studierende, Lehrende und Verwaltungsangestellte der Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Resultat des Projekts ist die Service-Plattform “mein campus“. Innerhalb des Projekts liegt mein Tätigkeitsschwerpunkt im Bereich der Prozessmodellierung (UML, BPMN) und der Kommunikation mit den Fachanwendern der zentralen Universitätsverwaltung (Prüfungsamt, Studentenkanzlei, Zulassungsstelle). Hierzu konnte ich auf Kenntnisse im Bereich der Prozessmodellierung zurückgreifen, die ich bereits während meinem Studium in Bamberg gewinnen konnte.
