Workshop: Philipp Schwartz-Initiative of the Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation

This workshop connects representatives of universities and research institutions in Germany interested in supporting threatened scholars. It is organized by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Scholars at Risk Network, in cooperation with the Scholar Rescue Fund and The Council for At-Risk Academics, with the goal to facilitate the exchange of expertise and best practices amongst institutions in Germany. Representatives from the Scholars at Risk Network and the Scholar Rescue Fund will join and provide expert insights. The workshop will also explore establishment of a SAR German Section to facilitate a regular and on-going exchange of experiences within Germany on the topic of threatened scholars, and to be a bridge for and to represent German higher education in the global SAR network.
Expected number of participants: 100 – 130; Conference language: English.
