Early Excellence in Science Awards 2022 and Otto Bayer Award 2022 – Nomination until 9 May 2022!
Bayer Foundation invites you to nominate young scientists for the Early Excellence in Science Awards 2022.
With the Early Excellence in Science Awards (EESA), Bayer Foundation honors young scientists with an outstanding scientific career up to a maximum five years after completing their PhD (Please note: parental leave taken during this period is not counted towards the five year limit.). The candidates can be of any nationality and working at any academic institution worldwide. The awards are given in the categories Biology, Chemistry, Medical Sciences and Data Sciences, each with 10,000 € prize money.
Please complete the online nomination form by 9 May 2022 at the latest. You can nominate more than one candidate in total, but only one candidate for each category.
Furthermore, we invite you to nominate a distinguished scientist working in a German-speaking country to receive the Otto Bayer Award 2022.
With the Otto Bayer Award, Bayer Foundation honors scientists who have made pioneering research contributions in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology. The award, with 75,000 € prize money, is one of the most distinguished scientific awards in German-speaking countries.
For your nomination please use the nomination form here. Please complete the form by 9 May 2022 at the latest. The Foundation’s Science Council will thoroughly screen all nominations and decide on this year’s winner.
The Otto Bayer Award and the Early Excellence in Science Awards will be handed over to the winners at the next Bayer Foundation Day on 25 October 2022 taking place in Berlin, with streaming options available to follow the program online. More details will be announced in due time.
