The Bayer Foundation invites you to nominate young scientists for the Early Excellence in Science Awards 2023 & Hansen Family Award 2023
Early Excellence in Science Awards 2023
With the Early Excellence in Science Awards (EESA), Bayer Foundation honors young scientists with an outstanding scientific career up to five years after completion of their PhDs (Please note: parental leave during this period is not counted within the five-year limit.). The candidates can be of any nationality and working at any academic institution worldwide.
Candidates should work in one of the following fields: Biology, Chemistry, Medical Sciences and Data Sciences. The award is presented every year a prize of 10,000€ for each field. Candidates must have significant academic achievements in their early stage of career and a proven record of academic excellence.
For your nominations, please complete the online nomination form by April 30, 2023 at the latest. You can nominate more than one candidates in total, but only one candidate for each field.
Hansen Family Award 2023
With the Hansen Family Award, Bayer Foundation honors scientists who have made pioneering research contributions in Medical Sciences. The award was established in 2000 abd since then it has bee awarded ti 13 prominent scientists. The 75,000€ award, is one of the most distinguished scientific awards in German-speaking countries.
For your nominations please complete the nomination form by April 30, 2023 at the latest. The foundation’s Science Council will thoroughly screen all nominations and decide on this year’s winner.
The Hansen Family Award and the Early Excellence in Science Awards will be handed over to the winners at the next Bayer Foundation Awards Ceremony in Autumn 2023. More details will be announced in due time.
