Women in Science – 2nd Erlangen Symposium: Registrations and abstract submissions until 05.05.2023!

The initiative behind “Women in Science-Erlangen Symposium” was first conceptualized by female scientists at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität (FAU) Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2018 with the aim to tackle gender inequalities and gaps, especially in the mostly male-dominated field of natural sciences. The initiative brought together female scientists at different stages of their careers and has carried out a first Women in Science Symposium in December 2018.

In June 2023, the initiative proudly organizes the second 2023 Women in Science – Erlangen Symposium and invites all interested parties to participate!

  • June 18 to June 20, 2023; Chemikum, Nikolaus-Fiebiger-Str. 10, 91058 Erlangen

This second symposium focuses solely on the contribution of women to the field of Chemistry and wishes to connect women scientists from a series of different fields such as organic chemistry, surface and materials science, and photochemistry. Top female scientists from all over the world will be gathering at FAU to present their scientific achievements and to share challenges that led to their success in academia and industry.

Throughout the symposium, participants will have the opportunity to present their own work during the 10-minute flash talks or at the poster session on day two. If you wish to submit an abstract, please follow the guidelines you will find on the website of the symposium.

Register and submit your abstracts for the Women in Science – 2nd Erlangen Symposium 2023 until May 05, 2023!
