FAU Queer Staff Network: launch event on November 14!

Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nuremberg sees itself as an open and diverse institution that wants to promote and support the empowerment of all employees belonging to marginalized groups. The newly founded Queer Staff Network seeks to contribute to this goal and to proactively ensure the connection, visibility and empowerment of queer staff members at FAU. It understands the term “queer” to include all marginalized genders and sexual identities, including anyone who is unsure or questioning and/or is in the process of coming out or transitioning.

The FAU Queer Staff Network will be holding monthly informal events, in which you can share your experiences, get to know each other, and support one another. If you would like to join the network, you can sign up for the mailing list.
You can find further information on future events on the network´s website.

To celebrate the launch of the Queer Staff Network and raise a glass of bubbly (or juice) to empowerment and allyship, the Network invites everyone to a social event on Tuesday, November 14, at 6:30 pm in the Collection of Antiquities (Kochstraße 4, 91054 Erlangen)!

Everyone can join: those who identify as queer as well as those who want to support their queer colleagues as allies. You do not need to register ahead of time, but a short notification to harriet.ziegler@fau.de would be much appreciated.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Marlene Compton (marlene.compton@fau.de).
