Research in Europe: national and European funding opportunities for Ph.D. candidates and postdocs (25 and 26 November 2021)

On Thursday 25 and Friday 26 November 2021, KIT will be hosting the two-day online information event “Research in Europe: national and European funding opportunities for Ph.D. candidates and postdocs”. The event is organized by the KIT Research Office (FOR) who have applied their extensive expertise to design a program suiting the needs of young researchers on their career path in academia.

Continuing a successful format developed by the European Liaison Office of the German Research Organisations (KoWi), this event provides a compact overview of current research funding opportunities at both national and European levels. Various research and funding organisations will introduce themselves and their funding programmes through live presentations and in a virtual exhibition. The event will provide first-hand information for Ph.D. candidates and postdocs on where and how to successfully apply for research funding. On both days, the participating organisations will also be available to answer questions and to offer support with individual career planning in research.

The event will be held in English. The first day will focus on introducing various funding programmes whereas the second day will be dedicated to interactive workshops on topics concerning the career and personal development of young scientists. Please note that the number of participants in the workshops is limited – slots will be filled on a first come first served basis.
