„German Academia“ coaching for junior female scholars of the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Theology

To promote career opportunities for female scholars, the Women´s Representatives of the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Theology offer career coaching to international female scholars and scientists who wish to get integrated into the German academic system.

The „German Academia“ coaching program features individual counseling in questions of career planning in German academia specifically. The coaching consists of up to two individual, 90-minute sessions.

The program is targeted to Female junior researchers in their PhD/Doctoral, postdoc or habilitation phase as well as female W1professors at the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Theology, who want to advance their academic career.

Coaches with relevant expertise in higher education in Germany and intercultural competence can be identified by the applicants or in cooperation with the Office for Gender and Diversity (Büro für Gender und Diversity – BGD), the FBZHL (Fortbildungszentrum Hochschullehre) and the Office of Research Career Development and the Graduate Center of the FAU.

Application

Submit your application to the Women’s Representatives of the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Theology, Prof. Dr. Aida Bosch and Dr. Katharina Gerund, by July 15, 2023. The following documents should be included:

CV and, if applicable, a list of publications


Letter of motivation (max. 1 DIN A4 page) as well as information on desired coaches, if

applicable.
